Monica Mata is a VP/ Field CISO within Darktrace’s Cybersecurity Advisory & Engagements team, bringing expertise in cyber defense, technical advisory, and executive‑level engagement.  Her background spans the U.S. Federal Government, including service with the CIA, as well as commercial environments such as Apple, Sabre, and Darktrace. Monica began her career at Darktrace as a Cyber Defense Training Analyst before progressing into senior, customer‑facing leadership roles.  Over nearly eight years at Darktrace, Monica has worked with customers globally, partnering closely with CISOs, executive stakeholders, and internal leadership teams on cybersecurity risk, threat management strategy, and business outcomes. She is a trusted advisor in high‑stakes environments, supporting organizations through complex security challenges and strategic decision‑making.
