Lakeem Duporte is a Security Analyst II at Prairie View A&M University with a passion for cybersecurity, technology, and community engagement. Born and raised in St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands, Lakeem began his career in higher education through IT support, starting in the Help Desk where he developed a strong foundation in technical support, customer service, and problem-solving before transitioning into cybersecurity.

With four years of experience in higher education and two years in cybersecurity, he now focuses on cybersecurity operations, security awareness, identity and access management, and the implementation of enterprise security solutions that help protect the university community. Lakeem is especially passionate about educating students, faculty, and staff on emerging cyber threats and practical security best practices. Through his work and outreach efforts, he strives to make cybersecurity approachable, engaging, and impactful for everyone.
