Ashim Kapur is a Managing Director at LevelBlue (formerly Stroz Friedberg/Aon), where he leads the Digital Forensics and Incident Response (DFIR) practice and oversees tactical operations for the global group. With over 15 years of experience at the firm, Ashim specializes in managing high-stakes cyber threat engagements, including network compromises, data breaches, and complex civil and criminal litigations. His expertise spans the full lifecycle of incident response, from identifying vulnerabilities in Ransomware and Advanced Persistence Threat (APT) attacks to implementing robust remediation and network hardening measures.  In addition to his leadership in the field, Ashim is a recognized expert witness who has provided testimony in numerous federal and state court matters involving intellectual property theft and data misappropriation. He frequently consults with organizational leaders through Cyber Maturity tabletop exercises and has contributed to significant multiyear bank monitorships with the Department of Justice. An active educator in the cybersecurity community, he has served as a guest lecturer for the FBI and Fordham University’s International Conference on Cyber Security and has taught digital forensics applications at the John Jay College of Criminal Justice for nearly a decade.
