Alex Islamov is Managing Director and Head of Cybersecurity at DLA, LLC, where he leads the firm’s cybersecurity practice and advises organizations on cybersecurity strategy, governance, risk and compliance, cyber resilience, third-party risk, AI governance, identity and access management, and emerging technology risk.

Alex brings more than 19 years of experience across cybersecurity, technology risk, and advisory services, with leadership experience at Verizon, MorganFranklin Cyber, Baker Tilly, Deloitte, and EY. Throughout his career, he has advised organizations and senior executives on strengthening cyber resilience, navigating complex regulatory requirements, and translating cybersecurity risk into practical business decisions

Alex is an active leader within the cybersecurity community and has held multiple leadership roles with the ISACA Chicago Chapter, including Vice President. He is a frequent international speaker on cybersecurity, risk, AI governance, and emerging technologies, having presented at conferences and industry events in the United States, Europe, and the Asia-Pacific region.
