James leads the firm’s forensic accounting consulting and expert witness services and fraud risk management consulting. He previously directed these services for regional CPA firm and earlier served as a fraud risk management executive at the insurance and financial services company Nationwide and as a testifying Forensic Accountant with the Federal Bureau of Investigation. He earned his Master of Accounting, with a concentration in forensics from Florida Atlantic University.

He is currently serving a three-year term on the National Association of Valuators and Analysts (NACVA) Litigation Forensics Board. He previously served as President of the Central Ohio and Des Moines Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE) Chapters, Co-Chair of the Coalition Against Insurance Fraud’s Fraud Risk Management Task Force, Chair of the ACFE Chapter Leaders Committee, and as a volunteer fraud specialist for the AARP Fraud Watch Network.
