Edward Marchewka, DBA, leads and oversees many of PryorHealth’s non-clinical functions as the Chief Administrative Officer. He is responsible for strategic and operational leadership for Information and Technology Services, Human Resources, Quality and Process Improvement, and Facilities Operations for all 7 locations across 4 states. Dr. Marchewka also serves as PryorHealth’s HIPAA Security and Privacy Officer. With over 20 years of experience in technology and operations, he understands how to drive value and enable the business through technology and digital transformation. Dr. Marchewka is also a Dissertation Chair with Capital Technology University for the following programs: Cyberpsychology, Cyber Leadership, Healthcare Cybersecurity, Business Analytics and Data Science, Healthcare Technology, and Project Management.
Before joining PryorHealth, Dr. Marchewka led the ITS Department for nearly eight years with Gift of Hope Organ & Tissue Donor Network. Prior to that, he led the information security program for Chicago Public Schools.
He serves on the governing and advisory boards for Evanta’s CISO Executive Summit, SecureWorld Chicago, Cyber Security Collaboration Forum, SINC, and the CISO Executive Network. Dr. Marchewka also serves on the advisory board for Prairie State College and Franklin University.
Dr. Marchewka holds a Doctorate in Business Administration from California Southern University and an MBA and MS in Mathematics from Northern Illinois University. He earned a BA in Liberal Studies and a BS in Nuclear Engineering Technologies from Thomas Edison State College, NJ. He holds certificates in Nonprofit Management and Leadership from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and a certificate in Contract Management from the University of California-Irvine. Dr. Marchewka maintains several active IT, security, and professional certifications from (ISC)2, ASQ, ITIL, SSGI, PMI, EC-Council, ISACA, Microsoft, and CompTIA.
