Ahmer’s career spans cybersecurity technology vendors, MSPs, MSSPs, systems integrators, and end-user organizations, with experience across Fortune 100 enterprises, federal, state and local government, SLED, healthcare, education, energy, utilities, critical infrastructure, and other highly regulated environments. He has held significant cybersecurity and solutions architecture roles with organizations including Trellix, McAfee, IBM, FireEye, Skyhigh, Accenture, and Intel Security, as well as supporting major professional services and technology organizations.

His expertise encompasses cybersecurity architecture, security operations, incident response, endpoint and network security, cloud security, identity and access management, vulnerability management, data protection, and cybersecurity program modernization. He has also advised organizations on governance, risk, and compliance, aligning security programs with frameworks and requirements including NIST CSF, NIST SP 800 series, PCI DSS, CIS Controls, ISO 27001, SOC 2, HIPAA, and other industry-specific standards.

As emerging technologies reshape the cybersecurity landscape, Ahmer’s current focus includes the intersection of Generative AI, Agentic AI, Super Intelligence (SI), and cybersecurity, including AI governance, autonomous systems, data protection, identity, AI-enabled threat detection and response, and the evolving security risks associated with increasingly intelligent and autonomous technologies.
