Theodore (TJ) Sayers is Senior Director of Threat Intelligence at the Center for Internet Security (CIS), where he leads the Cyber Threat Intelligence, Multidimensional Threats, and Red Team missions. Previously, he led the Digital Forensics and Incident Response team, managed CIS liaison efforts with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), and served in a variety of intelligence analyst roles.

Sayers is a recognized cybersecurity thought leader whose insights have been featured in Forbes, The Washington Post, NPR, The Associated Press, and other national media outlets. His work focuses on emerging technologies, cyber threats, and geopolitical risks that affect U.S. domestic security.

An adjunct instructor at Siena University, Sayers teaches graduate-level courses in cybersecurity, digital forensics, and information technology. He holds a Master of Public Administration from the Rockefeller College of Public Affairs and Policy at the University at Albany and maintains numerous industry certifications. He also serves as an Intelligence Officer in the U.S. Navy Reserve and previously served overseas as Director of Intelligence for a U.S. Special Operations Command Joint Task Force mission.
