Catherine Liu

Catherine Liu is an enterprise AI governance and cybersecurity leader with over 20 years of experience architecting risk strategies for Fortune 500 financial institutions. At U.S. Bank, she defines assurance frameworks and spearheads independent oversight for emerging technology and AI initiatives—bridging deep technical cybersecurity with enterprise governance to transform theoretical risk policies into secure, sustainable business value.

Catherine earned her M.S. in Cybersecurity from New York University, where she received the NYU Cyber Fellows Academic Achievement Award and the NSA/DHS CAE Cyber Defense certification. She also holds an MBA in Finance and Accounting. Her industry credentials include CISSP, CISA, CIPP/US, and ISACA’s Advanced AI Security Management certification.

Outside of her enterprise responsibilities, Catherine actively mentors and advocates for the next generation of security professionals through the Women in CyberSecurity (WiCyS) community. She is also an avid traveler and National Parks enthusiast, having explored 55 of the 63 U.S. National Parks.
